The British rock band released a new single “There’d better be a Mirrorball” from their latest upcoming album “The car” , which is set to release on October 21, via domino. The lead single comes with a jazzy vibe with an edge of rock n’ roll.
This is their first release since 2018, with their album “ Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino”.
The new song picks up with a slow and sad start,
“Don’t get emotional, that ain’t like you/Yesterday’s still leaking through”, the frontman Alex Turner sings. The album title is mentioned in the next line “So if you wanna walk me to The Car/You oughta know i’ll have a heavy heart”.
The Car is set to have an indie rock tone, similar to their previous album. The band also teased another new song from the forthcoming album titled, “I Ain’t Quite Where I Think I Am” at the Zurich Openair Festival in Switzerland.
